Passionate instructors

We have a host of loyal dedicated teachers and aim to fit you and your child with a teacher that suits you and your individual needs.  There is no one size fits all, and we recognise this.  Our teachers are motivational and completely dedicated to teaching swimming at all the different levels required.

Living by the Sea we recognise that Water Safety is a major issue.  We use the Rookie Lifeguard programme with our Squad Swimmers, but also concentrate on Water Safety with our younger learners, giving your child the knowledge and when able, the skills they need to be confident in the pool or the sea – giving you a little peace of mind!

Our Aims

Our overall aim is to teach our children how to swim & how to enjoy water safely whether in shallow or deeper water.

Award Schemes

WetWetWet Swim School support the Swim England Learn to swim Award Scheme, combined with the STA International Learn to Swim programme.  Our aim is to provide you with a complete progressive aquatic pathway for learners of all ages and differing abilities to progress from their first learn to swim experience through to becoming complete, safe proficient swimmers.

Beginners to Improvers: Learn to Swim Award Stage 1 – 7

Aimed at our beginners up to improver level.  The awards are divided into progressive stages, delivering the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.  The progressive stages of learning to swim are motivational and designed to reward our swimmers for their development of the essential aquatic skills needed to be a confident, competent swimmer, encouraging and educating on water safety.

Swim Squad & Lifesaving

Once Stage 7 has been completed, our swimmers will advance on to Stages 8-10 and our exciting Squad and Lifesavers programme!  This will enable you to take part in lifesaving practices, yearly swimming galas and outside events.

Distance awards

We award our swimmers Rainbow distance awards ranging from 5m – 5000m, offering our swimmers further challenges and short term goals, along with keeping our children motivated whilst working through our rewards scheme.

STA Rockhopper Awards

The STA have introduced a fantastic series of awards for people of all ages with disabilities.  The Rockhopper series is a really exciting programme consisting of 9 progressive awards introducing learners with disabilities to the joy of water. The series of awards develops our childrens water confidence and water skills as well as increasing water safety awareness and knowledge.

In House Awards

We have developed our own range of graded certificates that are complementary to our swimmers upon reaching each and every aquatic achievement.

Our exciting in house certificates run in line with the Swim England learn to swim stages, Rainbow Distance Awards and STA Rockhopper scheme for disabilities!  Our in house certificates could be in addition to your Staged award, or as a stand-alone award that your child will be super proud to achieve and receive!

What our swimmers say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Since joining the club in April this year we have been so impressed with all the progress both our children have made. As a headteacher, I appreciate the kind (but no nonsense approach) of both instructors. They are nurturing, kind, have a good sense o humour and ensure all the children remain focused...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My 3 children have swam with Wet Wet Wet since 2009. They joined at just school age, and now my eldest is 14. They are all so confident in the water safe and really strong swimmers. The teachers go above and beyond and really care about if the children are happy and progress... I’m so glad my children have continued with Wet Wet Wet...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Over the years both my kids and myself have had lessons with Wet Wet Wet. Rachel and Matt got me from not being able to swim a length of front crawl to being really competent at it, and Rachel now (patiently!) teaches my daughter each week. The office are friendly, good communications and updates are clear. Classes are fairly priced and are at pools around Brighton on various days so lots of choice - thanks!
