Learn to swim
We are passionate about teaching you & your children how to swim and safely enjoy the water! We provide you with a fun and progressive swimming journey ensuring our pupils will be excited to return to their lessons, week after week.
We are flexible in approach to our Learn to Swim lessons and use varied teaching methods and awarding bodies in able to suit and encourage different learners.
Passionate instructors
We have a host of loyal dedicated teachers and aim to fit you and your child with a teacher that suits you and your individual needs. There is no one size fits all, and we recognise this. Our teachers are motivational and completely dedicated to teaching swimming at all the different levels required.
Living by the Sea we recognise that Water Safety is a major issue. We use the Rookie Lifeguard programme with our Squad Swimmers, but also concentrate on Water Safety with our younger learners, giving your child the knowledge and when able, the skills they need to be confident in the pool or the sea – giving you a little peace of mind!

Our overall aim is to teach our children how to swim & how to enjoy water safely whether in shallow or deeper water.
Award Schemes
WetWetWet Swim School support the Swim England Learn to swim Award Scheme, combined with the STA International Learn to Swim programme. Our aim is to provide you with a complete progressive aquatic pathway for learners of all ages and differing abilities to progress from their first learn to swim experience through to becoming complete, safe proficient swimmers.
Beginners to Improvers: Learn to Swim Award Stage 1 – 7
Aimed at our beginners up to improver level. The awards are divided into progressive stages, delivering the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children. The progressive stages of learning to swim are motivational and designed to reward our swimmers for their development of the essential aquatic skills needed to be a confident, competent swimmer, encouraging and educating on water safety.
Swim Squad & Lifesaving
Once Stage 7 has been completed, our swimmers will advance on to Stages 8-10 and our exciting Squad and Lifesavers programme! This will enable you to take part in lifesaving practices, yearly swimming galas and outside events.
Distance awards
We award our swimmers Rainbow distance awards ranging from 5m – 5000m, offering our swimmers further challenges and short term goals, along with keeping our children motivated whilst working through our rewards scheme.
STA Rockhopper Awards
The STA have introduced a fantastic series of awards for people of all ages with disabilities. The Rockhopper series is a really exciting programme consisting of 9 progressive awards introducing learners with disabilities to the joy of water. The series of awards develops our childrens water confidence and water skills as well as increasing water safety awareness and knowledge.
In House Awards
We have developed our own range of graded certificates that are complementary to our swimmers upon reaching each and every aquatic achievement.
Our exciting in house certificates run in line with the Swim England learn to swim stages, Rainbow Distance Awards and STA Rockhopper scheme for disabilities! Our in house certificates could be in addition to your Staged award, or as a stand-alone award that your child will be super proud to achieve and receive!
